👩‍💻 The Role: Data Engineer at VisFlow

As a core member of the VisFlow team, you’ll design and develop robust data pipelines, connectors, and integrations. You’ll be hands-on with modern technologies, contributing to both backend systems and frontend visualizations while ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain secure, efficient data connectors and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Develop real-time streaming workflows and publish data via Kafka
• Collaborate on system architecture and deliver agile, production-ready features
• Design APIs and services using Python and cloud-native technologies
• Build intuitive dashboards and UI components using React, Angular, and D3.js
• Integrate distributed data engines and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Kubeflow)
• Implement secure access control (OAuth2, OPA) and policy-driven frameworks
• Continuously improve code quality, data reliability, and system design

🧠 What You Bring

• 5+ years in software/data engineering, ideally full stack
• Experience with modern web frameworks and cloud platforms (especially AWS)
• Strong grasp of scalable data architecture, pipelines, and streaming (Kafka)
• Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps, and GitOps workflows
• Passion for building secure, maintainable systems in agile teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

🌟 Bonus Points For

• Experience with low-code or developer tooling platforms
• Familiarity with data governance/privacy-enhancing technologies
• Background in process mining (e.g. Celonis, Appian), automation (e.g. Pega), or MDM
• Knowledge of open-source systems like Trino, Hive, or distributed orchestration tools
