Om tjänsten

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

About these roles:

We are seeking two Data Security Specialists to join the Data Security & Protection team in the Volvo Enterprise IT Security organization. These specialists will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform (Microsoft Purview) and our future Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solution (in procurement). The specialists will work closely together and with various stakeholders across the IT security organization, the broader IT organization, and business units to support the company’s data protection objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management of DLP (Microsoft Purview)

  • Configure and maintain DLP policies, rules, and workflows aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and document findings in accordance with incident response procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to DLP rules and escalation pathways based on incident and trend analysis.

Implementation & Administration of DSPM

  • Work on the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the chosen DSPM solution.
  • Regularly review system dashboards to identify and address data security risks and anomalies (e.g., overexposed sensitive data repositories).
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to remediate identified security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with IT security peers (such as Data Resilience, Threat Intelligence, and SOC teams) to maintain an integrated security posture.
  • Collaborate with IT operations teams (network, infrastructure, applications) for system integrations, updates, and policy rollouts.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and support them with understanding how DLP/DSPM tools can create benefits for them.

Governance & Reporting

  • Participate in DLP Governance, contributing insights and operational metrics for the Steering Committee.
  • Prepare periodic reports detailing system performance, incident trends, and recommended improvements.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant internal policies and directives, regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, etc).

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging threats.
  • Actively propose refinements to policies, playbooks, and tooling configurations to enhance data protection.
  • Support the drafting of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles to streamline operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or demonstrable equivalent experience).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in cyber security and/or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience with DLP solutions (preferably Microsoft Purview).
  • Experience with DSPM offerings (eg: Varonis, Cyera, etc.) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data security concepts, including data classification, data flow mapping, and risk assessment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft365 and Defender suite is beneficial.
  • Understanding of enterprise GenAI solutions (Copilot, Gemini etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and relevant security standards and frameworks is a plus (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001, NIST).

Soft Skills:

  • Effective communicator in English, both verbal and written—able to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approach.
  • Collaborative mindset with an ability to work across functional teams and with external vendors.

What’s in it for you?

  • We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy:
  • A company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion
  • An organization with highly skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds
  • Colleagues with innovative mindset, always ready to support and share information
  • A supportive Manager enabling your professional growth
